RAVEN

Dancing has always been my first passion but it hasn’t been my only. In the last few years I have fallen into a world of design. This generic interest has narrowed down into jewelry. I’m inspired by raw materials. I am not the type of designer that plans ahead. Instead, I thrive off mistakes and spontaneous flow. In school I was horrible at pattern-making but excelled in draping. I find that letting the materials be themselves and guide YOU to the right outcome is the most fulfilling imperfection there is. Right now, most of my customers are dancers but I hope 2011 brings expansion. Dancing is sometimes a selfish thing. When I move, I do it for myself and am elated in the way it makes me feel. I hope that my dancing effects people but even if no one was around to watch, I still embrace the freedom of movement. My jewelry, on the other hand is so much more outward. I create for others and thrive off their reactions.
